Sonia Poli is an artist that I have admired for a while, She uses both the digital and the handmade to make her work, although it is dependent on the project. I like the softness of the shading within the faces and the patterned clothes which break up the design. The rough blue background and the swan reflections all help to elucidate the layers between the characters and the backgrounds. Personally I think her work is lovely and I like how fun it is. Her use of the digital to highlight her handmade painted techniques has meant that her characters all join together seamlessly.
