Puppet/Papercut Inspiration Jayme McGowan

Again I wanted to see how paper cuts could be used to compose a scene and I came across Jayme Mcgowans work - again segmented limbs were a feature, but I also liked the hanging elements and the vibrant colours.

The texture in the exploding earth image is really nice and has been achieved by using different grains of paper that have been washed with colour.
The sense of layering is really prominent within the image below- and despite the fat that most of the elements appear to be flat the use of foreground and background elements have really created the impression of depth. I like the design of the girl and her patterned dress which are very delicate components amongst the blurred background and blank simple books.
