Malin Koort

I discovered Malin Koorts work on Pinterest and was really intrigued by the three dimensional elements. I think that the characters he has designed out of paper are really quirky and strangely delicate. The hair is a really lovely detailed element and I like how the black contrasts and emphasises the consistent swirls throughout. 

Using a striped paper has really helped to make this character look more visually intriguing, the shadows and lines help to convey depth and intricacy. I like the slight flash of leg we can see which is a nice touch.
