As a class it was suggested that we look at this blog post and possibly include some of its features within our own home pages. After a quick read through I think that the Benefits, Call To Action and Success Indicator sections can be discarded (I don't feel like the explicitly apply to an events page) and that the Customer Proof section is probably something I would designate to my shop review page. Having said that I think I should include some of these sections on my homepage (It was the first page that I ended up building so I definitely think I can add more to it).

Resources - in the form of a buy now button with a direct link to buy tickets
Content offer- possibly by placing one of my festival t-shirts on there - some kind of promotional offer, or some kind of additional news enticement.
